Dear Holbrook Middle-High Families,
My name is Stefanie DeRosa and I am excited to introduce myself as the interim principal of Holbrook Middle-High School for the 2021-2022 school year. I feel very fortunate to already know the staff, many of the students and families, and the community. I am eager to work with you as a partner in education to ensure success for all of our students.
Over the past 21 years, I have worked for Holbrook Public Schools as a special education teacher, classroom teacher, reading specialist, assistant principal, co-principal and most recently, as the Director of Curriculum. My experiences have helped me to see the social, academic and behavioral transitions of our students from Pre-K to high school. I look forward to getting to know students' personalities, learning styles and interests. I will encourage them to do their best each day, let them know they are valued and that they all have a special place within our school community.
As interim principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors, teachers, students and parents feel welcomed and are excited to be here! Because the relationship between families and the school is vital to the success of our students, I welcome your conversation and positive input throughout the school year.
I would like to offer thanks to Ms. Shannon O’Driscoll, the HMHS Assistant Principal, to faculty and to the leadership team, for their support and assistance over the past few weeks. I am very appreciative of our excellent staff and our wonderful parent community who all work hard to support our students and teachers. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to a productive new school year.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
