School/Storm Update

Public Safety Officials continue to be in constant contact with National Grid and EverSource representatives with regard to electrical power restoration efforts.
At this time, nearly all streets in town are passable to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
A Warming Center with electrical outlets for cell phone charging remains open to the community (8 am and 10 pm) at the Public Safety Building in the Lower Level Training Room. A Regional Overnight Shelter is also open and available to Holbrook Residents at the Weymouth High School. Transportation to both of these locations is available via the Holbrook Council on Aging Wheelchair Van. Residents can contact the Holbrook Communications Center at (781) 767-1212 to arrange for pick-up.
Residents are urged to check in on any elderly, disabled, or infirm neighbors and to contact the Holbrook Police and Fire Departments in the event assistance, evaluation, or medical transport is needed. In the event that residents are unable to utilize the 911 system due to downed communication wires or depleted cell phone batteries, the Fire Department’s Municipal Fire Alarm System continues to be in full service. Emergency services may be summoned by pulling down on the white hook on any of the red Fire Alarm Boxes located throughout the town.
Finally, residents are reminded to continue to avoid any downed wires and be on the lookout for any overhead hazards such as dislodged branches, unstable trees, and broken telephone poles.
We will continue to update the community as more information becomes available.
